Shanghai have already moved to strengthen their team in preparation for P.E.P V. Prior to P.E.P IV they had signed Giovanni Dos Santos and Karim Benzema signed to youth contracts and now Sebastian Giovinco will join them.

Giovinco has signed from Juventus but it is not clear at this time whether the Italian has the neccessary paperwork to be able to be slected for the next P.E.P tournament. The 20 year old has not completed the neccessary number of league games so it could be another year before we see him on the big stage.

According to Rafe Kage, he could be destined for big things:

"Despite his short stature and only being in the early stages of his footballing career, Giovinco is considered one of the most promising Italian youngsters and we're delighted to sign him. Should he be able to make the step up, his skill on the ball would fit in nicely with the Shanghai philosphy of sharp, attaking football."
